Bendito Juan Pablo II, las palabras de esta plegaria son tus palabras, palabras que nos inspiran a solicitar tu intercesión ante la Santísima Virgen María.
Santo Juan Pablo II, en la iglesia parroquial de Wadowice, fuiste injertado a Cristo y acogido en la comunidad de su Iglesia. En ese templo te acercaste por primera vez al sacramento de la confesión y allí hiciste tu primera comunión. Allí fuiste monaguillo. Allí diste gracias a Dios por el don del sacerdocio y, ya como arzobispo de Cracovia, allí viviste el jubileo de tus 25 años de sacerdocio. Sólo Dios, dador de todo bien, sabe cuántas gracias recibiste en ese templo y en esa comunidad parroquial. A él, Dios uno y trino, le diste gloria en el umbral de esa iglesia parroquial de Wadowice.
Allí, al igual que en el pasado, dirigiste tus pasos a la capilla de la Santa Cruz, para contemplar nuevamente el rostro de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro.
Jesús, presente en nuestro prójimo que sufre, quiere estar presente en cada uno de nuestros actos de caridad y de servicio, que se manifiesta incluso en cada vaso de agua que damos "en su nombre" (cf. Mc 9, 41). Jesús quiere que por el sufrimiento y en torno al sufrimiento crezca el amor, la solidaridad de amor, esto es, la suma de aquel bien que es posible en nuestro mundo humano. Bien que no se desvanece jamás.
Bendito Juan Pablo II, que quiere ser siervo de este amor, besa la frente y besa las manos de cuantos contribuyen a la presencia de este amor y a su crecimiento en nuestro mundo. Santo Juan Pablo sabe, en efecto, y cree besar las manos y la frente del mismo Cristo que está místicamente presente en quienes sufren y en quienes, por amor, sirven al que sufre.
¡Oh Virgen Inmaculada Madre del verdadero Dios y Madre de la Iglesia!
Tú, que desde este lugar manifiestas tu clemencia y tu compasión a todos los que solicitan tu amparo;escucha la oración que con filial confianza te dirigimos,y preséntala ante tu Hijo Jesús, único Redentor nuestro:
Protege a Elena, pues el cáncer amenaza seriamente su vida. Ella es el centro de fe y esperanza nuestra. Todos estas hijas y estos hijos tuyos rezamos por su salud, llenos de esperanza en ti: ¡oh clemente, oh piadosa, oh querida, oh dulce Virgen María! Amen.

Blessed John Paul II, in the Wadowice parish, you received Christ and were accepted into the community of the church. In that temple you received the sacrament of holy confession and first communion. There you became an altar boy and gave thanks to God for the gift of priesthood. Later as Archbishop of Krakow you celebrated your 25 years of priesthood. Only God, giver of all that is good, knows how many blessings you received in that temple and in that parochial community. At the portals of that parish you gave glory to him, One God and Trinity.
Just as in the past you traced your steps to the chapel of the Holy cross, once more to behold the face of our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Jesus, always present in our suffering brethren, wishes to be present in each of our acts of charity and service, manifested even in each glass of water that we give “in his name” (Mt 9,41). Jesus wishes that through suffering and around suffering love will grow, the solidarity of love, that is, the sum of all the good that is possible in our human world. Good that always is and never vanishes.
Blessed John Paul, who wishes to become servant of this love, kisses the forehead and hands of all who contributed to the presence of ever increasing love in this world. John Paul knows and believes he kisses the hands and forehead of Christ himself who is present in all who suffer and in those who, through love, serve those who suffer.
Oh Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the true God and Mother of the Church. You that from this place manifest your mercy and compassion to all those who ask for your protection, listen to the prayer that with brotherly love we address to you, and present it before your Son Jesus, our one and only redeemer:
Protect Elena, we ask that you cure the cancer that is seriously threatening her life. Because she is the center of our faith and hope all these sons and daughters of yours pray for her help, full of hope in you, oh merciful, oh pious, oh beloved, oh sweet Virgin Mary. Amen
